Lately, it has been really ugly for the Rams as they have been outscored by an average margin of 27 points in their last 4 contests.

This season the average total for Buffalo’s home games is 45.4 points, nearly 3 points above the point total for this game. However, the scoreboard has been lit up beyond belief in Buffalo’s last 2 games, with an average of 70.5 points being scored in each contest.

The Packers are looking to rebound from an embarrassing loss suffered against New Orleans last Monday. Fortunately for them, they are playing at Lambeau field. This is where they play at their best. Green Bay is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 home games. Homefield advantage will definitely heavily influence the outcome of this game. Carolina is currently 8-3 overall, but 2-3 on the road, and one of those road victories came against Oakland.

This will be an exciting AFC battle between two teams who are looking to win their divisions. The Steelers at 8-3 currently lead the AFC North and absolutely must win in order to retain that spot since the Ravens are 7-4 and quite likely to beat the Bengals this weekend. The Pats at 7-4 are looking to regain first place in the AFC East.

This is an absolute must win for Baltimore as the Ravens at 7-4, are second place in the AFC North. Mathematically, the Ravens could win the division and make the playoffs, but realistically if they are going to make the playoffs it will be as a wildcard team. Nonetheless, they are only favored by a touchdown against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Platinum Pick: New York -3.5

The Giants at 10-1 have proven that they are the most complete team in the NFL and the front runner to win the Super Bowl. They have been playing tough opponents but oddsmakers are still not giving them the credit they deserve. As a result, the match up Giants vs Redskins, the Giants are 9-2 against the spread this season. They are only favoured by 3.5 against a team that they could easily dominate. This one is easy money.

With 5 weeks remaining in the NFL schedule, we are beginning to have an idea of what teams are in the midst of the playoff hunt. I rarely ever recommend betting the favourite in a double digit spread for a National football game. However, this one is quite obvious. The Lions are just that terrible. They are still winless after 11 games and 0-5 against the spread at home this season. They have performed quite poorly in front of their fans allowing an average of 36.6 points to the opposition and losing each game by an average margin of 20 points. Their opponent, Tennessee, is tied for first place in the league at 11-1 and is 5-0 ATS versus teams with a losing record and 5-0 ATS on the road this season.

This is a matchup featuring a hot underrated team versus a strong overrated team. The Lakers at 11-1 are debately the strongest team in the NBA but haven’t been too impressive lately. They are 8-4 ATS this season but have only covered only twice in their last five. They were a double digit favorite 2 times during that stretch and failed to cover each time. The Lakers are coming off a poor performance against Sacramento.

Premium Pick: Over 51

Any Monday night football game featuring either the Packers or the Saints is guaranteed to be an absolutely entertaining affair. When you have a Monday nighter featuring both teams you cannot afford to miss out on the action. Picking a winner in this one is definitely not an easy task. However, betting the total is a completely different story.

This will be an interesting matchup featuring two of the league’s best defensive teams who are looking to rebound from a poor performance last week. I like Baltimore because the Ravens are playing at home where they play at there absolute best. They have a 3-1 home record and the only game they lost was by 3 points against the undefeated Tennessee Titans. Baltimore’s main strength is and always has been its ability to stop the opposition.
