justin burke4* Selection: Stanford -10

Stanford blew their chance at the Rose Bowl last week when they lost at home to California 34-28. Stanford is 7-4 overall and ATS with some impressive wins at USC and at home vs. Oregon. They are averaging 35.4 points per game and a large part of their success is related to the production they are getting from their star running back Toby Gerhart.

He is averaging 5.4 yards per carry and has rushed for 1531 yards with 23 touchdowns. The last 3 weeks vs. Oregon, USC, and Cal he has ran for 535 yards and 10 touchdowns. Good news for Gerhart is Notre Dame is terrible at stopping the run. They allow 160.3 rushing yards per game. Notre Dame has nothing to play for except possibly their coach Charlie Weis. The Fighting Irish are 6-5 but a terrible 2-8-1 ATS. They are bowl eligible thanks to a fast start but since have lost 4 out of 6 and they are 1-4-1 ATS in those 6 games. Jimmy Clausen was punched in the eye this past week and it was swollen bad but he is expected to play. That won’t matter in this one. Take the Cardinals to win easily in this game as it will be Coach Weis’s last game as a Notre Dame Head coach.
