Oklahoma Sooners @ Miami Hurricanes

When the Sooners and Hurricanes get together on Saturday night, Miami will have another chance to make a statement. The Canes have gotten a lot of hype this year and Oklahoma has fallen off the national radar since losing their opener, so this game is quite intriguing.
Miami’s first two wins looked great on paper, but FSU’s inability to beat anyone at home has taken some of the luster off of the first Miami win. Likewise, it’s worth noting that the Hurricanes got to play Georgia Tech on a Thursday night when the Jackets were playing their third game in a matter of days. It was the kind of situation where everything was stacked in the home team’s favor.
The Hurricanes have only had one opportunity to play a difficult opponent, and they were never in the game Saturday against Virginia Tech. Now, they’ll have to face the big time running game of Oklahoma and a Bob Stoops team that needs this win to keep any national title hopes alive.
When we factor in the fact that the public is on Miami, it’s an easy choice. When the public plays an underdog, take the favorite. That’s especially true when the favorite is a decidedly better football team.
