Premium Pick: Baltimore -3

This is an AFC Wildcard matchup featuring two teams who have debatably performed above expectations, each led by a rookie head coach. The Dolphins won the AFC East, finishing 11-5, winning 10 more games compared to last year. The Ravens reversed their wins/losses totals going from 5-11 in 2007 to 11-5 in 2008. Both teams experienced the same kind of success this season but one of these teams has a substantial advantage to win this one.

This is a critical inter conference matchup featuring two teams who are fighting for a wildcard playoff berth. Each team has an identical 9-5 record. The winner of this game is almost guaranteed a wildcard playoff spot; meanwhile the loser may have little hope in making the playoffs this season.

Premium Pick: Philadelphia -5

This is a divisional matchup featuring the Eagles and the Redskins. The last time these teams met, the Redskins upset the Eagles 23-17 in week 5. At one point this season, the Redskins were 6-2. After losing 5 of their last 6, they find themselves at 7-7 and out of the playoffs. The Eagles are in the NFC playoff race but absolutely cannot afford to lose their final two games.

peyton manningPremium Pick: Indianapolis -6

The Jags and Colts are heading in separate directions this season. Indy will clinch a playoff spot by defeating Jacksonville. At this point the 5-9 Jaguars are looking to end a very disappointing season on a positive note. This will be an exciting divisional prime time matchup to open the second last week of the regular season of the NFL. The Colts have come a long way this season. After losing 4 of its first 7 games of the season, Indianapolis has now won 7 in a row. This streak is mainly due to the fact that the Colts are finally beginning to click offensively. As a result, Indy is averaging 26 points per game in its last 6 contests. This is an increase of more than 5 points per game, when comparing Indy’s offensive production in its first 8 contests.

This is a non conference matchup featuring two teams who are first place in their respective divisions and are very close to clinching a playoff berth. At 10-3, the Panthers will be in a strong position to win their division and get a bye in the first round of the playoffs if they win this game. At 8-5, the Broncos can clinch the AFC West with by winning this one.

ricky williamsPremium Pick: San Francisco +6.5

This will be an exciting non conference matchup featuring two teams who have performed a lot better than what people anticipated prior to the beginning of the season. The Dolphins at 8-5 are in a 3 way tie for first place of the AFC East. They are arguably the most improved team this season, rebounding from a 1-15 campaign in 2007. The 49ers at 5-8 are out of the playoffs but have been a much better team since Mike Singletary took over as head coach after the first 6 weeks of the season.

Premium Pick: Carolina -3

This is a crucial divisional matchup featuring two NFC South opponents, buccaneers vs panthers, who have an identical 9-3 record. The winner of this game will claim first place in the division. The last time these teams met the Bucs dominated the Panthers by a score of 27-3. This game will definitely be one of the most important Monday night football games this year.

ronnie brownPremium Pick: Miami +1

This is a crucial divisional matchup featuring 2 teams who are fighting to make the playoffs. At 7-5, the Dolphins are tied with New England for second place in the AFC East and are in a favourable position to make the playoffs as a wildcard team. The Bills are 6-6 and cannot afford to lose a single game in order to make the playoffs. This will be one of the more important games this week as it will have an impact on each team’s chances of making the playoffs.

Premium Pick: Oakland +10

This is a divisional matchup, Oakland Raiders vs San Diego Chargers is of little importance between two AFC West teams who will not be making the playoffs this year. Prior to the season, San Diego was heavily favored to win its division and was also considered to be a strong favourite at winning the Super Bowl. At 4-8, it appears that San Diego has completely collapsed this season. The Raiders who are currently 3-9, have been one of the worst teams in the league over the past few seasons.

antonio gatesPremium Pick: Under 49

This will be an exciting matchup featuring two teams who are fighting to make the playoffs. The Falcons at 7-4 could still mathematically win the NFC South but are also in a favorable position to make the playoffs as a wildcard team. The Chargers at 4-7 could still win the AFC West. But their chances are slim and this game is an absolute must win for them.

Premium Pick: Over 40

This will be an exciting AFC battle between two teams who are looking to win their divisions. The Steelers at 8-3 currently lead the AFC North and absolutely must win in order to retain that spot since the Ravens are 7-4 and quite likely to beat the Bengals this weekend. The Pats at 7-4 are looking to regain first place in the AFC East.

ray lewisPremium Pick: Baltimore -7

This is an absolute must win for Baltimore as the Ravens at 7-4, are second place in the AFC North. Mathematically, the Ravens could win the division and make the playoffs, but realistically if they are going to make the playoffs it will be as a wildcard team. Nonetheless, they are only favored by a touchdown against one of the worst teams in the NFL.
