brandon marshall3* Free Play: Denver -1

Oakland opened as the favorite but the line is rapidly changing. That is because the wrong team was favored. The Raiders should never be favored unless they are actually facing a team that is worse than they are.

Although the Broncos lost Jay Cutler in the offseason they are still a better team than Oakland. As long as Jamarcus Russell is Oakland’s starting QB, the Raiders will never be able to depend on an efficient passing game to win games. His numbers in this young season are absolutely atrocious. He has completed only 35.2% of his passes. I think this information alone should give you enough reason to take Denver. However, in reality the Broncos have been excellent defensively this season. They are allowing an average of only 6.5 points per game and 253.5 yards ranking 1st and 2nd in both categories. If the Broncos continue to play this way defensively, Oakland will likely be limited to single digits. Although Denver’s offense isn’t the same with Kyle Orton taking reps, the Broncos likely won’t have to score too many points to win this game.
