The Browns were absolutely atrocious during the first 3 weeks of the regular season, being outscored by an average margin of 22 points per game. However, although they lost to the Bengals last week, they managed to keep the game close and cover the spread.
This week Eric Mangini traded high maintenance number one wide receiver Braylon Edwards who hasn’t performed up to expectations since 2007. I truly believe that his move will help this rebuilding Browns organization and give Cleveland an edge in this matchup as Edwards was a poison to the organization. There are a few other key reasons to take the Browns in this matchup. Although they are winless and have very poor numbers on both sides of the football, they faced four tough opponents with a combined record of 14-2. The Bills are 1-3 and have struggled immensely over their last 2 contests being outscored by a combined margin of 48 points. Buffalo’s statistics really aren’t much better than Cleveland’s and the only reason why Buffalo actually won a game this season is because they faced the Bucs. Expect the Browns to keep this one close and very possibly win the game outright.
