Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Miami Dolphins

At this stage of the season oddsmakers are substantially inflating spreads for weaker teams. Although many of these big underdogs are not worth playing, we often find that several teams on the other side of the equation are favored by double digits when they shouldn’t be. This is the case with the Miami Dolphins. Miami is 2-14 ATS in its last 16 contests as a 3.5 to 10 point favorite and 5-21 ATS in its last 26 as a home favorite.
The Bucs on the other hand are coming off the momentum from achieving their first victory of the season last week. They were down 28-17 to Green Bay at one point and fought back to win 38-28. Tampa’s defense finally stepped up forcing 3 turnovers and blocked a punt for a touchdown. Rookie QB Josh Freeman made a lot of mistakes in his first start but he threw 3 touchdowns to lead his team to victory. I really feel that the Bucs will finally be able to score some points and compete with Freeman taking the snaps. All in all I expect the Bucs to build off the momentum of their first victory and be more competitive on both sides of the football field. This game will be decided by no more than a score and the Bucs may just upset the Dolphins in this one.
