4* Selection: New Jersey +111

This line is the closest thing to a steal. The Devils are 8-0 on the road this season and are 12-2 in their last 14 overall. They travel to Pittsburgh to face the Pens who are missing a lot of key players including Malkin, Gonchar and Letang. They have struggled immensely as of late losing 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5.

Their main problem is that they can’t seem to score. They have been shutout for two games in a row and have scored a total of 7 goals in their last 5 contests. They will have a very tough time against the New Jersey’s defense that has allowed an average of only 1.4 goals per game in its last 5. The Devils have had a lot of success in Pittsburgh winning 19 of its last 26 contests in Mellon Arena. The only reason Pittsburgh is favored is because they are last year’s Stanley Cup Champs and because the Devils are substantially underrated by the public. Lay the number on the Devils to pick up their ninth consecutive road victory of the season.
