The Islanders had a rather sluggish start to this season but have changed things around as of late. They only have 4 wins this season but they are currently on a 3 game winning streak. Their last 3 wins came against the Rangers, Capitals and Sabres, three strong teams who each have a winning record.

2* Selection: Dallas +104
The Stars are in a very strong position to come out with the victory and oddsmakers are giving them positive odds. Therefore there is a lot of value playing the Stars in this matchup. Dallas is coming off a 6-5 shootout loss to Florida yesterday but their starting goaltender Marty Turco was given the day off. He will get the start tonight against a team that he has faced twice already this season, allowing a total of only 2 goals in those contests.

There is a substantial amount of value in playing the UNDER in this matchup, especially considering that oddsmakers are giving positive odds. Fortunately San Jose is playing at home, where they clearly play at their best, particularly defensively. The Sharks are allowing an average of only 1.5 goals per game at home this season.
