Both teams are 5-0 and ranked in the top 25. I love the Bearcats here for one main reason; Senior Tony Pike. Pike threw for 281 yards and 2 touchdowns last year in their 24-10 win vs. the Bulls. He is completing 66.7% of his passes for 1493 yards and 13 touchdowns.
2* Freeplay: Arkansas +2.5
Auburn comes marching in as the number 18th ranked team to a 2-2 Arkansas team. Auburn looks to start 6-0 for the first time in 5 years. There is a reason the oddsmakers are giving Auburn less than a field goal in this game. Auburn has already won against Tennessee, Mississippi State, West Virginia and Ball State. Besides the Tennessee game the others were not even close.

BYU will be missing explosive wideout McKay Johnson but the team will be able to cover the number without him. They relied on the running game last week and came up a season high rushing 213 yards in a win vs. Utah State.

This is one of those games where the line doesn’t make any sense. Maryland is coming off a win over Clemson, and Wake Forest has looked less than inspiring this season. So why are we taking Wake Forest? It’s because of the fact that the majority of the public is on Maryland, yet the line has moved more than a full point since its opening at 11.

South Carolina is off to another hot start, and it looks like they’re being overvalued by the books at this point in the year. Their resume is relatively inspiring, with a 7-3 road win over N.C. State, a loss to Georgia, and a Thursday night victory over a sickly Ole Miss team. For these reasons, the Gamecocks have been pegged as just bigger than 10 point chalk at home against a decent Kentucky team.

Virginia Tech has quietly put together a really nice year so far. After taking a lead into the fourth quarter against Alabama in week one, they’ve knocked the snot out of Marshall and taken down previously undefeated Nebraska. Last week, they took on the overhyped Miami Hurricanes and sent them packing without much of a fight.

When Kentucky went into Tuscaloosa last season, they had a chance to pull out a tough game at the end. Turnovers put the Cats in a hole, and they couldn’t quite recover against the Crimson Tide, who were undefeated at that point in time.

In this game, we’ve got to take a hard look at some trends that just can’t be ignored. It’s another ACC clash with the upstart Miami Hurricanes trying to reclaim their place among the country’s elite when they travel to Virginia Tech. The Hokies getting points in this matchup, and the public has already bet the Miami side incredibly hard.

When the North Carolina Tar Heels and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets tangle this Saturday, fans should be treated to a battle of wills. The Jackets like to run the football with their triple option scheme, while the Heels get by with their solid defensive front. In this one, we’ve got reason to believe that North Carolina has a better than average chance at pulling off an outright win.

What is better than when the two winningest programs in college football history tee it up for glory and a chance at 2009 redemption? If you’re a college football bettor, nothing is better because this game represents the best chance to get on top of your man this weekend. Notre Dame beat up on Michigan in South Bend last year, but so did everyone else. This year’s a different story, as Rich Rodriguez has more of his players in place, and has a quarterback capable of running his system.
