Chicago Bears @ Indianapolis Colts: Spread
Free Pick: Indianapolis –10
I really don’t like betting on the double digit spreads but this is a match up that strongly favors Indy and therefore they should cover. Indy ranked third in 2007 for yards allowed and fifth offensively for yards per game meanwhile Chicago ranked 28th and 27th. Chicago made no significant upgrades in the off season. Running back Matt Forte will definitely be more of an offensive threat than Cedrick Benson and playing Devin Hester as a wide receiver on a more consistent basis may also help the Bears. I don’t believe that Kyle Orton is the answer at QB and there is little reason to believe that Chicago will be more productive offensively than in 2007. Expect Peyton Manning and the Colts to put enough points on the board to cover and to shut down the Bears. |
