I already picked the under (37.5) in this game because both teams are struggling offensively. Additionally, Tennessee’s defense is a force to be reckoned with. That being said, Cincinnati managed to achieve the league’s worst record offensively last week with 132 yards. They will probably have a better offensive performance but their production will be quite limited against the Titans’ defense led by intimidating DT Albert Haynesworth. One important factor greatly affecting the spread is that Vince Young is out. Tennessee would without a doubt be the favourite to win this if he was playing. I personally think that Young’s absence may actually help the Titans because Kerry Collins is a much better passer than he is. Young threw 2 interceptions against Jacksonville last week. Tennessee’s offense will be heavily focused on running the ball as they have 2 talented running backs in LenDale White and Chris Brown. Cincinnati had significant difficulty stopping the Ravens’ running game as they allowed 229 yards on the ground. Expect Tennessee to exploit this vulnerability and to have a better passing game compared to last week.
