jonathan toewsFree Pick: Blackhawks Moneyline

On a night when the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings will square off it should be an interesting one, especially since it will be the last game these two teams will face one another before the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field on January 1st, 2009. The Wings have been red hot on the road so far this season and are looking for their fourth consecutive road win. This will be a difficult task for the Red Wings who have played last night against Atlanta since the Blackhawks have been on a roll going 2-0 since Joel Quennville has replaced Denis Savard as head coach.

This game will not be an easy one for the Red Wings who have gone 3-4-1 against the Blackhawks and 1-2-1 in Chicago. The Blackhawks have also won the last 4 games these 2 have played which includes 1 game earlier in the season. As we already know, the Red Wings will be no push over, but Chicago’s speedy forwards will provide alot of offense for the Blackhawks eventhough they arent too good defensively. As long as Brian Campbell can contain the Zetterberg, Datzyuk line, the Blackhawks will have no problem securing their fourth conscutive home win. Eventhough the Blackhawks will win this game, it will be a close one especially since all of their prior games have been a 1 goal difference.
